About Paul…

Born in Hull, Paul studied at Hull University and qualified as a solicitor in 2005. He gained experience and knowledge over the years and worked for another prominent local law firm until joining Gosschalks as a Partner in our wills and probate department in October 2016.

With over 15 years’ experience of managing the busy and complex issues that are associated with Wills, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Estate Administration and Property Trusts, Paul specialises in dealing with issues surrounding care fee planning and care fee advice.

He's a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP), and holds the the Advanced Certificate of International Succession & Probate.

Paul places great emphasis on giving the best possible service and is known for being very approachable and for recognising the importance of showing empathy during what is often a very difficult and emotional time for his clients.

Outside of work, Paul spends most of his free time chasing after his two young children. He's also a keen football fan, but we’ll let him tell you who he supports as we don’t want to put you off him!

Don’t put things off. The clients I see with the most difficult problems are those who have come to see me after the problem has arisen: “Mum has lost capacity and we don’t have a power of attorney”, “Dad didn’t make a will”. These situations can lead to more costs and take longer to deal with. It is never too early to come and get your affairs in order – and it’s not as scary as you think!
