About Mark...
Born in Cottingham and raised in Swanland, Mark attended Swanland Primary School and then Hymers College. After school, he joined the Army and later became a Constable in the Metropolitan Police.
While studying for the Sergeant's exams, Mark took a place on a Business Law degree at Coventry (Lanchester) Polytechnic as a mature student. He came to Gosschalks as a trainee in 1989, qualified in 1992 and has been with us ever since.
“I’m pragmatic and have a commercial attitude, which has come about with my varied experience in the department. This helps me achieve the goals that my clients set as quickly and with as little ‘pain’ to them as possible.”
Now a Partner and Head of Property, Mark has more than 25 years’ experience and specialises in general commercial property and development work.
“It’s my job to achieve the client’s goals within the deadlines and steer them around what can sometimes be a legal minefield.”
Mark is a regular speaker at a range of commercial property focussed events including the RICS (Yorkshire & Humber) legal updates hosted by the firm.
