About Katie...

Katie was born in Hull and raised in Hessle. She started off as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary for a local Licensed Conveyancers firm 22 years ago and has worked her way up the property ladder since then, qualifying as a Licensed Conveyancer, whilst at Williamsons Solicitors, with Merits and Distinctions in 2012. Katie joined Gosschalks in January 2018 to assist the Head of Conveyancing, Julia Madden, in the busy residential property department.

Katie has experience in dealing with a wide range of Residential Conveyancing transactions including Sales, Purchases, Probate and Matrimonial sales, Leasehold and NewBuild properties, Re-Mortgages, Transfers of Equity, Equity Release and Sale/Purchase of residential land.

"I enjoy the challenge of what each day will bring...every property and chain is different and has its own issues to be investigated and resolved. Conveyancing is such a fast paced and varied area of law so there's never a dull moment is residential conveyancing."

Katie prides herself on being thorough with great attention to detail. She is down to earth and able to convey matters to clients clearly and concisely but without the need for complicated legal jargon. She understands that being patient, listening to client's needs, managing a client's expectations and keeping clients well informed throughout the transaction is key in trying to ensure a less stressful experience in what undoubtedly can be a very stressful life event for a lot of clients.

"It's a great feeling when a particularly complicated or stressful transaction is finally completed, knowing that I was able to achieve a happy outcome for my clients is extremely satisfying."

Outside of work Katie likes to keep fit at her local gym, watch movies, listen to live music and generally spending quality time with her family and friends.
