About Julia…

Julia was born in Liverpool and raised in Hull. She studied her A-Levels at Wilberforce College and achieved an A in Law. This result would see her placed in the top 10 out of 10,000 students. Julia went on to study Law at the University of Hull and then on to the College of Law in York where she achieved a commendation.

Julia started her training contract with Stamps Solicitors (now Hudson Law) in March 2007. She qualified in December 2008 specialising in residential conveyancing, and became the Head of Conveyancing in March 2010. She joined Gosschalks in June 2014 as an assistant residential conveyancing solicitor before being promoted to Associate in 2015 and Partner in 2017.

“I always advise clients to obtain a Building Survey and all appropriate Searches. They want to purchase their dream house, but it’s no longer a dream if they move in and realise it’s the house that Jack built. There’s always a solution to a problem. So if a problem arises during the purchase I can resolve it, but it’s hard to resolve an issue I’m unaware of. Purchase a house with your eyes wide open, rather than shut. This will also avoid any issues when it comes to selling.”

Julia is praised for her ability to put her clients at ease, keep them informed at every step of the way and make the whole process as easy and stress-free as possible for them.

“I hate not achieving the exact result my clients require. That’s why I will move heaven and earth to make sure all issues that arise can be resolved. The satisfaction I get from solving these issues and telling a client their transaction is complete makes all the hard work worthwhile.”

Outside of work, Julia loves to sing, read, go to the cinema and spend time with her family.
