Last Thursday evening was the annual Constructing Excellence Awards held at Queens Hotel, Leeds.

Gosschalks were again proud sponsors of the Project of the Year Award. This year’s winner was Balfour Beatty for their Tadcaster Bridge Reconstruction project. The award was presented by Abigail Milner who is a solicitor in our Construction Team.

The following comment was made by the judges as to why they felt Balfour Beatty should win the award:

“This project is a fantastic example of how civil engineering plays a crucial role in our society. From the outset, mutual dependency and collaboration tied the delivery teams together all under the watchful anticipation of the Tadcaster community. Sensitive to the purpose and reinstatement of a historical Bridge, the project claimed national success and stands out as a clear winner of this award.”
